ABOUT ME

In order to better support clients, I took diplomas in Analytical Psychology and a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Healing (Middlesex 2006).

My studies helped me to develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that play out in our minds, our bodies and our emotional lives. One of the great challenges has been working with the long term homeless and later with autistic children, which opened my eyes to a whole new way of healing and communicating.

Having been a healer for over 25 years it is impossible not to see the results of emotions or past traumas which are left unresolved, and of stress and anxiety and the impact of these on the body and the nervous system. I was a member of the Healing Trust (formerly the National Federation of Spiritual Healers) and a volunteer healer with them for many years.

These experiences have been some of the highlights of my working life. I see everyone, including myself, as a work in progress on the long and often challenging journey to health and happiness.

PERSONAL RELAXATION

Painting is an important part of my life and my early background was in art and design, which together with an abiding interest in the environment and ecology of our planet, led me to set up and be Creative Director of The Changing Times, a small but passionate publication which survived for nearly 10 years.

Hampstead Heath is on my doorstep and I spend as much time as I can sketching and painting there, and in my studio, throughout the seasons. My paintings have been exhibited locally with the East Finchley Open Artists group, and also at the Daniel Raphael Gallery in Marylebone.

My artwork can be viewed at The Hampstead Studio

In the bustle of life, in the pressure of decisions, peace has become a luxury.  Take it when it comes, and cherish it. It gives you time to breathe.  It gives you rest and hope and life.
